How to Take Measurements

A guide to the perfect fit

After placing an order for a Limit Latex piece, we ask you to fill in a measuring form with all your measurements. Sizing is important, and this page will help you to properly take measurements.

Every piece of clothing - especially latex - starts with taking the correct measurements. But how do you do that?

Before You Begin

Standing in heels - measurement position
Standing straight - proper measurement posture

Stand Natural

Don't strike a pose, don't suck in your belly. Just relax, look forward and stand straight. This is not an army drill so you don't have to force up your chest and back. Be super careful not to stoop or stretch yourself into unnatural positions as this will add or remove length.

Wear Appropriate Clothing

Don't wear bulky clothing as this will add extra length to your measurements. Wear some sport leggings and if you have a turtleneck shirt (otherwise a normal t-shirt with a higher neckline is also good) and a bra to support the (prosthetic) breasts. Yes, you may also go fully naked if you're comfortable with that!

Don't Pull Too Tight

Don't pull too tightly on the tape measure. This will make measurements smaller than they are. Allow the tape to simply lay upon your skin. We will make sure that the latex still hugs you by applying reductions on all the right places in the pattern.

Take Your Time

Please take your time to take measures as they serve as the starting point of your latex piece. You can even take all measurements two or three times to rule out some errors.

When a measure mentions "circumference" make sure that the measuring tape is always held in a straight horizontal line.

Mark Your Waist

Marking the waist with a belt for accurate measurements

Most of the vertical sizes stem from the waist circumference so make sure you have that marked.

The waist is often marked by tying a piece of string or ribbon around it. This will make sure you always have the same starting point. Your waist is measured at the narrowest circumference of your torso. This is typically found around 6 cm above your belly button and often in alignment with the elbow.

Let's begin!

Torso

Circumference Measurements

We start with all the circumference measurements of the torso. This means they should be measured with the tape going around the body part in a horizontal line.

  • 1.
Neck circumference: around the smallest circumference of the neck
  • 2.
Upper bust circumference: around the chest, just above the breasts, directly under the armpits and across the back
  • 3.
Bust circumference: across the nipples, around the widest part of the breast
  • 4.
Under bust circumference: directly under the breasts
  • 5.
Waist circumference: narrowest part around the torso, roughly about 6 cm above the belly button
  • 6.
Upper hip circumference: around the hipbones
  • 7.
Hip circumference: widest part, around the buttocks

Straight Measurements

It's now time to measure the straight measurements of the torso. These are not circumferences and can be both horizontal or vertical.

  • 8.
Shoulder width: from the lower side of your neck where it connects to the torso to the ball of the arm (acromion)
  • 9.
Shoulder seam to nipple vertical: from the lower side of your neck where it connects to the torso straight down to the nipple. If you have bigger breasts, support them with your hands to the position where you want them in your catsuit
  • 10.
Front length: starting from the jugular* down to the waistline

    * Jugular is the dimple between your collarbones at the front

  • 11.
Breastbone to nipple(only necessary when you have breasts): from the middle of your chest in between your breasts, following your breast curve to your nipple
  • 12.
Lower breast crease to nipple(only necessary when you have breasts): from the breast crease under your breast, following your breast curve to your nipple
  • 13.
Distance nipples: space between your nipples
  • 14.
Shoulder seam to waist at the back: from the lower side of your neck where it connects to the torso straight down to the waist at the back
  • 15.
Back width: from shoulder ball (acromion) across the back to the other shoulder ball

Most Important for Full Suit

The length of the upper body:

  • 16.
Neck front to neck back through the crotch: from the jugular down in between the legs to the 7th cervical** vertebra. You can pull a little on the measuring tape to create some tension.

** 7th cervical vertebra is the bony bump at the lower part of your neck that you'll feel if you gently tilt your head forward and rub the back of your neck.

  • Arm

    Measurements from Armpit

The following 4 measurements are taken from the same spot in the armpit. Raise the arm horizontal and place the tape measure around 2-3 cm under the armpit (don't push the tape too far in the armpit), then let the arm hang loosely/relaxed (make sure that the shoulder is not raised anymore).

    • 17.
Armpit to waist: side of the body
    • 18.
Armpit to upper hip: side of the body
    • 19.
Armpit to elbow: bend your arm a little bit when measuring this
    • 20.
Armpit to wrist: on the inside of your arm, let your arm hang loosely again
    • 21.
Sleeve seam to wrist: measure on the outside of your arm from the ball of your shoulder (acromion) down to your wrist
    • 22.
Armpit circumference: raise your arm and place the tape in your armpit, let your arm hang loosely/relaxed again. Measure around the ball of the shoulder

Friendly reminder: the measuring tape should always touch the skin without leaving any gap in the armpit.

    Arm Circumferences

    • 23.
Upper arm circumference: around the arm directly at armpit level
    • 24.
      Elbow circumference: around the elbow
    • 25.
Lower arm circumference: around the lower arm
    • 26.
Wrist circumference: around the bony part of your wrist
    • 27.
Hand circumference: around the knuckles without the thumb

    Legs

    Circumference Measurements

Let's continue with all the circumference measurements of the legs. Make sure that the measuring tape is always held in a straight horizontal line.

    • 28.
Upper thigh circumference: around the upper leg, right at the groin crease, take care that the tape goes under the butt
    • 29.
Mid thigh circumference: around the mid part/widest part of the upper leg
    • 30.
Above knee circumference: around 4 cm above the kneecap
    • 31.
Knee circumference: around the kneecap, middle of the knee
    • 32.
Below knee circumference: around 4 cm below the kneecap
    • 33.
Calf circumference: around the widest part of the lower leg
    • 34.
Ankle circumference: around the bony part of the ankle

    Vertical Measurements - Inside Leg

    Inside leg measurement demonstration
    • 35.
Inside leg to knee: from the groin crease to the middle of the kneecap, measured as a straight line
    • 36.
Inside leg to ground floor: from the groin crease to the floor, measured as a straight line

    Vertical Measurements - Outside Leg

    • 37.
      Waist to floor
    • 38.
      Upper hip to floor
    • 39.
Middle of the kneecap to calf
    • 40.
Middle of the kneecap to floor

    Feet

These measurements are only needed when ordering a catsuit with attached feet or stockings.

    • 41.
Length of the feet: from the biggest toe to heel
    • 42.
      Circumference foot around heel
    • 43.
Circumference around middle of the foot
    • 44.
      Circumference foot around toes

Total measurements: 44 - Take your time and measure accurately for the perfect fit.
